The driving hazard perception test shows you a series of 14 short video clips. Each clip shows you potential hazards observed during normal driving conditions. There area total of 15 hazards to identify. You score points for recognising each hazard and how quickly you notice each hazard. There are a maximum of 5 points available for each hazard. The faster you notice the hazard, the more points you score. To pass this part of the test you need to score at least 44 points out of a total of 75.
The fee for the combined theory and hazard perception test is £28.50.
Once you have passed the combined theory and hazard perception test you can apply for a practical driving test.
